It is with great excitement that we share with you the establishment of the Iowa Community Theatre Awards in Excellence. In creating this award we wish to showcase the talent we have in community theatre in Iowa.

Award Guidelines:

The governing board of ICTA has established the following guidelines for the awards in excellence:

Recipients must represent an ICTA member theatre
Reviewed productions will be during the fiscal year of March 1 to February 28
Theatres must nominate their productions to be reviewed

Nomination categories are:
o
Actress in a leading role
o Actor in a leading role
o Featured actress (supporting)
o Featured actor (supporting)
o Use of scenic design
o Use of lighting
o Use of costuming / design
o Direction
o Choreography
o Ensemble

Review will be conducted an ICTA board member

Winners will be announced at either Festival or Conference

Please note that there are no age limitations on nominees. Our greatest resources are the many people that have the vision and talent to bring to life theatre productions. ICTA recognizes that these visionaries come to us in a many ages and we want to make sure that no one feels they are too young or mature to be recognized.
